And So this is Christams!

Well we had a good Christmas to spite all the things that had happened the few days before Christmas. We packed up and went to my parents and had a good time like always. Things went just fine becuase Papa (my dad) called Santa and told him that Carson was going to be at his house this year. We had a great time My sister and her family came over to Papa and Gigi's house on Christmas eve and we ate ( like always) and opened gifts and had a Birthday party for Jesus. We all had a really good time. In my little family we are not going to play Santa up real big, but thats because we want are kids to know what the true meaning of Christmas is. We don't get a ton of gifts for Carson, we only do 5, One big gift from us, one from santa and 3 from the 3 wise men. I love Christmas and the whole giving thing so like always I spent WAY to much again this year on Chirstmas. Oh well I can try better next year. We ended up getting up around 6:45, Carson was not to sure what to do at first. And then he saw it, his new GeoTracks that was all set up ready to be played with. he opened a few more gifts and then we all got ready to move on with are busy day. We started at home (papa and Gigi's this year) then to the Snyder's for a fast Christmas and then to my Aunt and Uncle's for My Family Christmas. We always have lots of good food and tons of fun so we had a pretty good Christmas.

We ended up staying with Mom and Dad for two days and then we stayed with my sister and her family on Friday (thanks sis). Saturday we had someone look at what was wrong with the plumbing and we where able to stay in our house on Saturday evening. We still have a lot more work that needs to be done, but for now we can live in our house.

Heres the Birthday party we had for Jesus!

We hope that you had a Great Christmas and a Very happy new year!

I WON'T let it ruin my Christmas!!!!!!!!

We just became new homeowners this past October. We work hard for what we have and would for once like a little break. Let me tell you how my Christmas week started. Sunday was very very cold here with a wind chill of -28 or something like that. I had been at my sisters working on a Christmas gift and didn't get home until that evening. I knew it was going to be cold out in my salon so I went to check on the water in the sink, Frozen! Had no idea what to do. So David told me we would deal with it on Monday. Well like some pregnant women I don't sleep very well, I had gotten up at 5:00am, to get a head start I was going to turn on the heater out in the salon. Bad Idea. I had layed down for about an hour and got up to start my day and went out to check on how things were going. I could hardly open the door. WATER was everywhere. A Pipe had broke. I yelled for David to get up and shut the water off to the salon, because I had know idea where it was! After shutting off the water we went out there and there was about 2 inches of water on the floor and water everywhere. Everything was soaked. David started to push the standing water out the back door and I went to find all the towels that I could to help clean up. Well needless to say we got it all cleaned up and we think that the only thing that needs to be replaced is the floor. But we had talked about doing that anyway just a few days earlier. I guess that's what we get for talking about it.

Well wait I have more! Yesterday I decided to give my sister a break and go watch the girls at her house. Because that's what nice sisters do! But when I was there David calls to tell me he got his car stuck in the driveway and that someone he worked with picked him up. He works second shift (3-11pm) so I knew nothing could be done until he got home. Well I had stayed for dinner with my sister's family and didn't get home until around 8:45pm. I was busy getting Carson ready for bed ( that needed to be in around 8:00) so I didn't even see that there was a problem with the toilet, in the only bathroom that we have let me just say. So I went on with my stuff and started the washer and wrapped some gifts. I went in around 11:15pm to use the restroom and that is when I saw that we had a problem. It was not flushing right. So I just thought I would say something to David when he got in from digging out his car. We had gotten a lot of snow drifts in the driver way. Well just about a minute latter I hear water running all over the floor in the bath room. The toilet had overflown. What do I do. I called David in to help and figure out what was the problem. we had no idea. So David ran to Walmart to get a snake to see if that would help. Oh did I forget the tell you that not only the toilet had overflowed but there was standing water in the bathtub. So now what do we do. I went to bed and poor David went back out to dig out the drive way and was out until 2:30am in the rain and cold only to get a couple hours of sleep,he has to work first shift today. So now I have to pack all of our stuff we need for today and for Christmas to take to my parents house. I was so excited to have Carson waking up in his house on Christmas and now I can't even do that. His Papa and Gigi (my parents) where going to come over on Christmas morning just to see the excitement that Carson had and then they we're going to my sister house for the same thing. The more I sit here and think about it the more I get mad. And I can't have Christmas in my house this year because the indoor plumbing hates me. I know I am sure you are thinking well you could be the one that it homeless and does have a place to have a nice Christmas. And I know that we have a nice little house and this will get fixed but i just wanted to be able to have a nice Christmas in our little home. You know I even had gotten a new coffee maker and something to make for breakfast for when Papa and Gigi came on Christmas morning. OK I am done crying like a baby now. I just want a freaking break, for once! I am sure I will have an update in a few days stay tuned!

Well anyways we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year to you and your Family!

In addition

Well in addition to my I just don't understand post, I have an update to add. My neighbors have added one more of those wonderful blow ornaments. Now if 4 wasn't enough they have added a Santa to the mix of A snow man, Tigger, Abominable snow man, and the oh so wounderful Grinch. I really think that God just might be testing my Christmas sprit this year. I have it in my heart that Christmas is the day the Lord was born and that we are to celaberate it. Now don't get me wrong I do love the traditional decoration that many still put up and some have replaced with these silly blowups. I just guess this year I am not in the sprite to decorate. I don't have very many thing in my house even. I not sure if it is that I am pregant with the lack of motivation or if it is that fact that I just want the real reason for Christmas to get lost in my home. We have talked to Carson about Santa and he knows he will get a gift or two from him but we just aren't going to play Santa up real big in our house. I do love Christmas and the giving of gifts. I love to sing Christmas music, it is my favorite kind to sing. I am even in our church chior this year. So I guess if I don't show the sprite on the outside of my house I still have it in my heart.

Let it snow!

Today we got up to find that it had snowed over night and we now need to go and shovel the driveway so my sister can bring the girls over. Carson was very excited the it had snow and has been waiting to go out and play in the snow. He really wanted to help daddy with the shoveling and wanted to use his own shovel. So like any good parent we got him all dressed up in his winter cloths. And we sent him out with daddy.

Working Hard!

This one he needed to try eating the snow.

I am sure we will have alot more snow to play in this year!

look what I made!!!

My sister Alison and I have been wanting to start a home based business for sometime now. We feel that staying home with our kids is very important, but we also wanted a way we could make some money to help with the family funds too. So we started thinking lets do something. With being the mothers of young children we wanted the business to have something to do with kids, so we thought about making things, sewing them. We did a lot of research and came up with a few things we wanted to try to make. Now let me tell you my sister and I have NEVER really sewn a thing in our lives. So we did what any one else would we jumped in with both feet. We bought a sewing machine and the things we needed to start making these projects we wanted to try. Now let me tell you standing in the fabric store holding a pattern for a sewing project that clearly has English still really look like a foreign language when you have no idea what to do. I just have to say I am so glad my sister was there to help. So after getting everything. we opened the box to this great new machine and take it out and we are like what next. Just so you know I did take the owner manual out and read the whole thing. I know kind of know what I am doing.

The two things we wanted to try making was a tote/diaper bag and a cart hugger. We started with the bag. Come on how hard can it really be to make a bag. Well don't be fooled. When you know nothing about sewing it can be very hard. We started to cut out the pattern and I think it took us about maybe two to three hours. And to make the bag about two weeks. The first thing we started was the handles. They were the hardest thing on the bag. You take about three feet of fabric cut it, sew it, fold it, and cut it, sew it fold it in to what you think is going to be a handle just to find out you did something wrong and have to take it all apart. So finally we did accomplish this bag. Sure there are things that aren't perfect on it and we had to take the thing apart and redo it a few times but we got it done.

But I did take a few pictures of the two bags that we have made. This bag is for my sister in law Sabrina. She saw the first bag that we made and had said she really liked it and wanted one. She has been great with the kids and gives them things all the time so we wanted to make her a special gift for the kids to give her. She had told me that she wanted Hot Pink and Lime green. I think we came close to that. This bag we got done is a day and a half. So we are getting a few things figured out.

We do enjoy the time that we do spend on making these gifts, even if we get frustrated.
This next bag is the very first one we made. I use it to take to church with books for Carson and Maya( my niece). It work very well for that. And hold a great deal of stuff.

Maybe it is an ejection seat

Ok now I have been asked to post a story about my sister, the author of mytwoarmybrats, and I have been asked to make it a funny or embarassing story well I will give you an embarassing story however it won't be to embarassing for her as she is one of my best friends and I just wouldn't do that to her.

Michelle was quite proud of her new car and had every reason to be because she had purchased a mercury sable, used of course, but in very good condition. She was taking me for a ride and giong to show it off to some mutual friends of ours which included her boss. We pulled into the Little Caesar's parking lot and she rushed inside to get the store manager Deb. They both came back out together and Michelle opened the trunk with her keyless entry and immediately climbed into the trunk and threw the keys out on to the ground and asked me to close the trunk. The carsalesman had convinced her that there was a trunk release switch on the inside that she could use in the event that she should ever be carjacked and shoved in the trunk. Now mind you I warned her that he was wrong and that the handle in the trunk was for the fuel door, but she paid no mind to me and proceded with her demonstration so as she asked I closed the trunk and picked up her keys. She pulled the handle and much to her surprise the trunk did not open and I walked around the car and closed the fuel door. I told her maybe she didn't pull it hard enough try again and she did. I closed the fuel door once again, and asked her if she had pulled it trying to hold back my laughter. I talked her into pulling it one more time befoer I told her that the fuel door appeared to be working correctly. By this time she was ready to get out but I wasn't quite so sure that she had learned her lesson yet so I got into the car and drove around the parking lot about three times, mind you that the parking lot was in much need of repair so I am very sure that she bounced around in the trunk a little bit, hey I had to knock some sense into her somehow since she didn't want to listen to me the first time. Maybe when you come home agian Michelle I will show you the difference between the two handles because my car has both options and even came with seat releases in the trunk so I can lay my seats down from the trunk.

3 heavy boxes

Sometimes to live in a country were we have so much freedom (so they say) it sometime comes with a price. I am not affected personally by wars or having to ship my loved ones off to fight. I do although have alot a service men in my family. The closes one is my Brother-in-law Krike. And for me that means the we must help support him in any way that we can. A few months ago I was talking to Michelle (My SIL) and I asked how Krike was doing and if she had talked to him lately. She told me that she had and that it was sad because she was seeing him on web cam and for dinner he was eating oatmeal cream pies. Ok to me some days that would be just fine, but I have a choice in what I eat at meal times. I was very saddened by what I heard. So when David got home from work that night I told him what Michelle had told me. I said we have to do something. So the next day I called Michelle and her told what we were going to do. I told her that David and I alone couldn't do it by ourselves but that we where going to send out a letter to family and friends to see if they could help us. I was not really sure what to expect from our letters. Well the next thing I know we are getting money and checks in the mail. We received over $200.00 to spend on supplies for Krike and to ship it over to him. I could just not believe it. So the next thing I had to do was go shopping. We were able to get him all kind of things some he needed and some his wife told us would work good for him. on Monday of this week I sent out 3 very heavy boxes going over to wherever Kirke is right now. I hope and Pray that they make it there by Christmas. I know that for him along with his family that it is not going to be a very easy to be in the Christmas spirte this year. I know that getting boxes from family is not what he is going to want at this time, but if I could I would pack his family in 3 heavy box and ship them right over too! I know that there are alot of families this year that are not going to have loved ones at home with them this season. In my house we pray daily that God will bless our soldiers. My son Carson even knows that we must ask for blessing upon them and to bring them home safely.

I just want to send this out to all the military families out there that have a loved ones that they are going to miss this year at Christmas. We send you our thanks and our love and good Blessings for everything that you and your Families do. It is not just the soldiers that are far from loved ones but the families to! Thank you for my Freedom.

I just don't understand!!!

Ok in my first blog I talked about the fact that I can't stand those inflatable yard ornament/decorations. And sure I know that I just might offend someone but what I have to say and I will apologize for this but you don't have to read anymore if this will upset.

Ok we have lived in our new home for just about a year and a half. the other night I looked out my kitchen window to find FOUR of those dumb blow up decorations. Ok they just couldn't stop at one or even at the most two but four, come on people. We all know that right now the economy is in what they are calling a recession and that we should also look at saving energy. I just think that one they are just a big waste of money to buy them in the first place and second to run them for hours on end is just crazy. I can even imagine what kind of electric bill they are going to have. Because sure they have them on in the evening and all night and the the best part all day too! Why not have them up all year long. And sure I know I have my right to have an opinion and that is why it is on here. If I could get a way with it I would take David's bb gun and just shoot them all. Thank God I have know idea where it is. And I am sure that I would probably get arrested for malitious destruction. So calm down I am not going to do anything. One thing I do think about is in the day time when most crazy sain people shut them off it looks like they had a drive by shooting anyway, so it makes me laugh. Just so you know what I have to deal with the rest of the year I took these pictures. (I have been trained well by my SIL Michelle).

The first one is out my kitchen window:

and this one is what you see out side of my house

And sure the nice person that I am I will suffer in silence and not say a thing. But I sure can blog about it! Thanks for letting me say what I think. I hope you will leave a comment or two.

The begining

Well here I am here after a long struggle I finally decided to start a blog. So let me see where to start. I am a stay at home mommy of my almost 3 year old and with one on the way. during the week I also sit for my two beautiful nieces (that I will call M and M, just for privacy). I love having them here. Sometimes when I don't have them I feel lost! I think that Carson ( my son) loves having them here also! Now for my hubby. Well I don't think words can describe him to the fullest. Well I will do my best. He is a man of many things. He loves to hunt and fish. He works hard to provide for his family. He has been working towards an Engineering degree for the last few years, started online and now is going to a local college. Oh and I can't forget to tell you about his sense of humor, if you know his sister (Michelle) then that will tell you a little of what I live with. He loves a good joke and to play a good joke on people. David (my hubby) and his sis and go back and forth for what seems like forever! I am sure that he will leave a few stories for you to read so, I am sure you will get to know him in his stories!

Well to tell you a little about myself. I love my family. I think the best and hardest job in the world is beinging a parent. I have a salon in the back of my house that David built (or remodeled) for me so that I can still do hair and stay at home with Carson. Oh and another thing, it is almost Christmas and some of the crazy come out in people like the need to decorate there houses in side and out. And one thing I just can't stand is those stupid inflatable yard ornaments. One thing I love is to hear my son sing. His favorite song to sing is "Jesus Loves Me", here's a little show for you!

I will have more for you very soon so please stop back by!
